Let’s chat about the BAFTA looks. As there are so many, I’m only rating women (tuxedos are boring) and ones I’ve heard of, unless I either really love or hate the look (and only if there aren’t too many).
Those in bold are my personal favourites.
Gwendolyn Christie (Game of Thrones, Star Wars and Wednesday) in Giles Deacon

Ms. Christie has gone for a rather Gothic look, perhaps in keeping with her role in Wednesday. She looks great, but the sleeves look as though they’ve been through a shredder.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick, FUBAR and A Complete Unknown) in Giorgio Armani Privé

Ms. Barbaro’s dress has the potential to be pretty, but it doesn’t work over a transparent material.
Sarah Rating: No
Hannah Dodd (Bridgerton, Eternals and Enola Holmes 2) in Simone Rocha

Ms. Dodd plays Francesca, whose book was my favourite in the Bridgerton series. A pretty girl but not the right dress for her.
Sarah Rating: No
Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones, The Diplomat and Calendar Girls)

Ms. Imrie is a classic British star, and her dress is suitably elegant and refined.
Sarah Rating: Yes
Hannah John-Kamen (Marvel Cinematic Universe, Happy Valley and The Stranger)

Ms. John-Kamen’s dress reminds me so much of another one I’ve seen and it’s driving me crazy. Nevertheless, I love it- a beautiful colour and lovely design.
Sarah Rating: Yes!
Molly-Mae Hague (Love Island, At Home With the Furys and Behind It All)

Ms. Hague is going for a bold look but it just doesn’t quite work when it comes to fitting at the chest.
Sarah Rating: No
Camila Cabello (Singer) in Sabina Bilenko

Ms. Cabello ruins the look with that top, which contrasts too much with the rest of the dress. The spidery look is cute though.
Sarah Rating: No
Pamela Anderson (Baywatch, Pamela, a Love Story and The Last Showgirl) in Jacquemus

Ms. Anderson is known for her fresh faced looks, and this white number is beautifully simplistic.
Sarah Rating: Yes!
Florence Hunt (Bridgerton, Cursed and Mix Tape)

Ms. Hunt may be the youngest Bridgerton, but she’s growing up quickly! Not a fan of the dress, whether it’s the cut or the material. The bottom would be a cute skirt normally though.
Sarah Rating: No
Nico Parker (The Last of Us, Dumbo and Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) in Chanel

Ms. Parker is the daughter of filmmaker Oli Parker and actress Thandiwe Newton. The hairstyle is very nice but the dress isn’t fitted too well.
Sarah Rating: No
Kayla Scoledario (Skins, The Gentlemen and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales)

Ms. Scoledario looks very nice in this simple, elegant black dress that is reminiscent of Old Hollywood.
Sarah Rating: Yes!
Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and Hannah Montana: The Movie)

Ms. Williams suits Green better than most but I’d like it more if it was the same material at the bottom as the top.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Felicity Jones (The Brutalist, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Theory of Everything)

Ms. Jones looks very nice in this dress, and the white against the black gives it a little extra.
Sarah Rating: Yes
Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place, Hotel Transylvania and Only Murders in the Building) in Schiaparelli

Ms. Gomez should have got rid of the black bit and raised the neckline, which would have made a really lovely look. The silver sparkle gives her a nice Marilyn Monroe vibe.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Mikey Madison (Anora, Better Things and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood) in Prada

Newcomer Ms. Madison looks classy in this off-white number, which is simple but very classic.
Sarah Rating: Yes!
Cynthia Erivo (Wicked, Harriet and Pinocchio) in Louis Vuitton

I love Ms. Erivo’s dress apart from the top, which gives me too much Star Wars. White lace is a great look on her though.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Demi Moore (The Substance, A Few Good Men and Indecent Proposal) in Alexander McQueen

Ms. Moore’s dress looks like a stained glass window and I’m here for it. She looks incredible.
Sarah Rating: Yes
Ariana Grande (Wicked, Don’t Look Up and Victorious) in Louis Vuitton

I’m not a fan of dresses that look like two separate gowns put together, and this is no exception. She’s a petite girl, and this is too much at the bottom.
Sarah Rating: No
Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, Little Women and Brooklyn)

The dress alone is very nice, but I don’t think the wrap adds much. She rocks the colour though.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez, Marvel Cinematic Universe and Avatar) in Yves Saint Laurent

Another two seperate gown looking situation, and I’m not a fan of the feathers.
Sarah Rating: No
Lupita Nyong’o (Twelve Years a Slave, Us and A Quiet Place: Day One) in Chanel

Ms. Nyong’o gave us the super iconic and beautiful blue Academy Awards dress in 2014. Whilst I love the top of the dress on her, I’m not a fan of it looking like two different gowns.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Annabelle Wallis (The Tudors, Peaky Blinders and Annabelle)

Ms. Wallis has played Jane Seymour, and she looks very regal in this gown. It suits her well and gives her some edge.
Sarah Rating: Yes
Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Mission Impossible and Napoleon)

I’ve never been a fan of slits and I don’t love the neckline, but the dress itself is nice and a black gown is always a good choice.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Letitia Wright (Marvel Cinematic Universe, Small Axe and Death on the Nile)

I’m a fan of the boxy dress look because it gives me Jackie Kennedy vibes, and this is no exception. Ms. Wright looks great and I adore the colour.
Sarah Rating: Yes!
India Amarteifio (Bridgerton, Doctor Who and The Midwich Cuckoos)

I like the colour on her and it suits her figure, but I’m just not a fan of the dress.
Sarah Rating: No
Isabella Rossellini (Conclave, Blue Velvet and Death Becomes Her)

It’s a straight no here, sorry. Too floral, poorly fitted and just far too much.
Sarah Rating: No
Marisa Tomei (Marvel Cinematic Universe, My Cousin Vinny and Crazy, Stupid, Love) in Sophie Couture

I’m not a huge fan of the dress at large, but she looks amazing and suits velvet.
Sarah Rating: Meh
Anna Kendrick (Twilight, Up In The Air and Woman of the Hour) in Georges Chakra

Ms. Kendrick had gone for a gothic look, but it would be better if the lace was all over as opposed to just as the top.
Sarah Rating: No
Vera Wang (designer)

Ms. Wang has given us some great fashion, but this look is just too all over the place.
Sarah Rating: No
AJ Odudu (presenter)

Ms. Odudu is giving Madonna vibes, but I’m still not a fan.
Sarah Rating: No
Naomi Ackie (I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Lady Macbeth and Master of None)

Ms. Ackie looks nice in this shiny silver/grey number. I like the twist, one-shoulder top.
Sarah Rating: Yes
